Not too long ago, I caught the Taylor Hooton Foundation (an anti-steroid organization) running an article from the so-called “Association Against Steroid Abuse” – a website owned by the same guy who owns BuySteroids.com, SteroidCleanse.com (a steroid masking or cleansing product) and other similar sites. This is also a guy (click for article) whose website previously offered people a “steroid supplier list” so they could purchase steroids online, and who currently runs advertisements for another site where users can purchase syringes and drugs such as Clenbuterol and IGF-1. Of course, I’m talking about Brian Clapp who has now partnered with Don Hooton.
In the past, Don and his foundation have gotten involved with repentant steroid users…guys who got caught using steroids and want to come clean and go the anti-steroid route. But that’s not what he’s doing here. Remember, we’re not talking about a guy (Clapp) who previously facilitated the sale of syringes and mislabeled drugs through his website(s) we’re talking about a guy who is currently doing it. We’re not talking about a guy who previously ran a pro-steroid site and now owns an anti-steroid site, we’re talking about a guy who concurrently runs several of each. Remember, I’m not pro-steroid or anti-steroid necessarily, but I’m always pro-truth.
It’s unbelievable that Don got involved with this guy in the first place, and even more unbelievable that he got involved with him again. You can buy drugs and syringes by clicking a link on one of this guy’s sites, and learn how to use steroids illegally, and on the other, he’s involved with Anti-Steroid crusader Don Hooton. This is more than a LMAO…more than just a typical LOL…this falls into the category of…
Stanozolulz.
Don’s lawyers called me the first time, as did Don himself, and we determined that Don had no idea who owned the site. He removed the article from his own site. Unfortunately, he has failed once again to do his diligence and find out exactly who he is getting in bed with.
Mr. Clapp is playing both sides of the steroid fence with his “Steroid.com” website (note that this is singular, no “s” on the end), which is unabashedly pro-steroid, and attempts to give users information on how to properly (and illegally) use anabolic steroids. He also owns SteroidAbuse.com and Steroids.com (with the “s” on the end) where he tries to play the good guy and tell people not to use steroids. And now he is playing Don Hooton for a fool – again.
Hooton and his foundation have teamed up with the owner of BuySteroids.com, a man who is currently the subject of an ongoing FBI investigation as well as an FDA investigation (*which I have the documents to prove). The following is the press release announcing the partnership:
HOUSTON, TX, February 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ — Effective today, Steroids.com has gone live under new ownership with the primary goal to educate youths about the dangers of steroid abuse. Backed by the legal team at Womack & Associates of Houston, Texas, Steroids.com aims to become the de-facto informational website related to all things steroids.
Steroids.com has also partnered with the Taylor Hooton Foundation (www.taylorhooton.org) to provide an educational resource network to deter teenagers and young adults from using illegal steroids.
Steroids.com launches with an encyclopedic library of factual information about steroids, including:
• Side effects and dangers of Anabolic Steroids
• In-depth overviews of why and how these drugs are taken and obtained
• The ethical and peer pressure aspects of Steroids
• Steroid use in schools and sports
• The history of Anabolic Steroids
• How to spot a Steroid user
• How to talk to your child about SteroidsSteroids.com welcomes and invites media attention and inquiry and wishes to partner with all domestic media outlets to spread the word about the dangerous and harmful consequences of steroid abuse.
Does Don know that the guy he’s involved with is currently under investigation by both the FBI and FDA? I don’t know. I’ve contacted him through his website to find out the deal on this recent partnership. I also suspect his lawyers will be contacting me shortly.
The following is the contact information found on the press release above:

As you can see, Steroids.com is registered to Barry Clapp, Brian’s father (and employee):
I’ve spoken to Don several times, and he was really embarrassed about the first incident where he inadvertently republished one of Clapp’s articles. But there are only so many times you can make the same public mistake and get out of it with a private apology.
And here are the documents concerning the ongoing investigation into Mr. Clapp and his businesses. You’ll note that I was denied access to the full file the FDA has on him, because it could be reasonably expected to interfere with law enforcement proceedings, but the document(s) below confirm that both the FDA and FBI have open investigations into him:
