New steroid experts – not being born every day

New steroid experts – not being born every day

My first book is full of typos (which are easily recognized), and mistakes (which are not so easily recognized). It’s probably still about 90% correct, even in the portions where I’m wildly speculating. I’ll blame the typos on the lack of editing and copyediting, and the mistakes on the fact that when you write a book about steroids, that’s usually when you learn the most about them. Writing my second (ebook) and third book/ebook is when I really refined what I had been learning. Then there’s the slew of profiles I wrote for various websites (MesoRx, Isteroids, SteroidWorld, etc…). In retrospect it’s unfortunate that my first book and set of profiles is my most widely read work, as my work became much better as I went on. My favorite profiles are probably the ones on MesoRx.com, to be honest.

Unfortunately, when you write, you read differently than most people. So when I read steroid stuff, it’s particularly interesting to me because I’m looking at the writing style as well as the information. And…usually I’m looking to figure out just how much of it is cribbed from other people’s work.

I love spotting frauds. I loved doing it when I caught EliteFitness.com copy/pasting my first book into their “Anabolic Game Plan” e-book, and I love it when a new site pops up with loosley rewritten profiles clearly stolen from someone else. There’s nothing better than spotting frauds, and EliteFitness.com provides me with a constant supply of them for my (and your) amusement. Anyway, here’s one of EliteFitness.com’s sponsors, DrugsProfiles.com*, poorly (and clearly) rewriting one of William Llewellyn’s profiles (*their whole site is simply a set of badly rewritten profiles stolen from other people):

Taken from DrugsProfiles.com:

Fluoxymesterone is an oral anabolic steroid which is a derivative of the hormone testosterone. Specifically, it is a methyltestosterone derivative, being different due to the addition of 11-beta-hydroxy and 9-alpha-fluoro groups. The result is a very potent orally active non aromatizable steroid that shows extremely potent androgenic properties. Halotestin is considerably more androgenic than testosterone, while the anabolic effects of this drug are considered to be moderate in comparison.

Taken from William Llewellyn:

Fluoxymesterone is an oral anabolic steroid derived from testosterone. More specifically, it is a methyltestosterone derivative, differing by the addition of ll-beta-hydroxy and 9-alpha-fluoro groups. The result is a potent orally active non-aromatizable steroid that exhibits extremely strong androgenic properties. Fluoxymesterone is considerably more androgenic than testosterone, while at the same time the anabolic effects of this agent are considered to be moderate in comparison. This makes fluoxymesterone a great strength drug, but not the most ideal agent for gaining muscle mass. The predominant effects seen when taking fluoxymesterone are increased strength, increased muscle density, and increased definition, with only modest size increases.

Unfortunately, when all you know how to do is copy/paste, sometimes even that becomes too difficult. If you take a look at the profile below, which is supposed to be about Testosterone Cypionate, you can see that the R-Tards who run DrugsProfiles.com actually copy/pasted portions of a Sten profile into it by mistake. Have a look:
